A custom home builder required two short banisters to complete this central stairway. Wrought Iron was chosen not only to add beauty, but to preserve the "open" feeling of the main hall.

The finished pieces are powder coated in a dark copper finish, which helps them to stand out, while still matching the organic feel that the wood provides.

The oak top rail was fabricated, and hand-fit by a custom carpenter. It attaches directly to an iron piece of the same contour, which is hidden within a channel on the underside.
